TresClean Achievements

As we approach the end of the TresClean project we are reflecting on the many achievements realised by our fantastic team, Università degli Studi di Parma, University of Stuttgart, ALPhANOV, BSH Group, Ecor International, RAYLASE GmbH and MODUS ltd.


With funding from #horizon2020 and #Photonics21 the TresClean collaborators have:

  • Identified suitable surface topographies to reach super-hydrophobic and antibacterial effects.

  • Developed a high-power laser delivering 1kW of output power and >3mJ of pulse energy,

  • Developed a high-speed scanning system with improved resolution and sufficient accuracy to support laser power up to 1kW.

  • Upscaled the TresClean laser texturing technique to produce nanoscale topographies with high throughput over large surface areas.

  • Successfully textured metal pipes and polymers with the TresClean laser surface texturing techniques.
